Earth to Mother-in-Law...

So she thought it would be a *lovely* third Birthday present for the boy if she and the other grandparent took him... To Alaska this summer... To see the whales, and such.

I. Surrender.

Ahhh, did they say they had to take husband too? My inlaws said they'd pay for two tickets to the East Coast... one for husband and one for eldest.
We nixed that idea. Seeing as the other two and myself were never mentioned.

So? Shall I send along some warm clothes?

Oh no - just him.

We'll pass over in silence the fact that there isn't an airline in the world that will fly with an unaccompanied minor requiring connecting flights under 8 (and these would be to get him from us to them) ... Or that MIL can't stand or walk for more than 20 minutes at a time... Or that he sees them twice a year and doesn't know them from Adam.

*sigh*

Oh, no. Surrender is not an option. I can't even image how she things that is a good idea. It is his third birthday after all, perhaps she should spring for a road trip to follow the wiggles around the US. You know, like a groupie..

I always like to suggest classes or lessons for birthdays. Of course, classes and lessons of your choice.

Ah, The Wiggles. Australia's highest paid performers. How sad is that? Luckily he has no idea who they are.
;)
Thanks for the huge laugh.
